Summer Camps 2025

Spend the summer diving into discovery with the Pacific Grove Museum’s summer camps! With a number of new camps this year and a new, full-day model for all grades, your child will have an amazing time exploring, learning, playing, and crafting while making new friends. Our summer camp staff of trained naturalists and educators have cultivated themed weeks that allow children the freedom to explore, create, and learn about science in fun and engaging ways that organically build better understanding and caring of our natural world. Camp Times:

All camps will run from 9am-3pm with the potential exception of one day of Nocturnal Ecology Camp.
Lunch care will be provided but lunches must be brought from home.

Museum Family Members & Above: $365/week
General: $400/week

Registration opens for the public on Monday, March 3.

All the Ologies: June 9-13

Transform into some of the neatest scientists! Try your hand at being an ecologist, geologist, paleontologist, chemist, physicist, engineer, astronomer, and meteorologist. Try out all of the ologies in this science and nature camp and show your friends and family all that you’ve learned with a special science show! 

Pinecone Camps Grades 3-5

Nocturnal Ecology:
June 16-20

Explore the hidden, beautiful, and sometimes spooky world of nighttime critters! There is a world of wonder waiting for you once the sun goes down. Learn about what animals love the moon, nighttime pollinators, and more in this special camp that just might include a special evening adventure!

Engineering for the Earth: June 23-27

Imagine, design, and build sustainable solutions for the planet in this brand new conservation collaboration workshop! Learn more about the world, how we live in it, and some of the cutting-edge scientific work that’s making it better, then design and build your own solutions!

Field Science:
June 30 - July 2

Calling all explorers, scientists, and adventurers for our three-day field science program out in the wilderness!  Day 1 will introduce community science and how we can be scientists wherever we are. Day 2 will focus on marine ecology. Day 3 will be forest ecology!

Be A Scientist: June 9-13

Explore nature, conduct experiments, and make brilliant discoveries! Every child is a scientist in this exciting, hands-on camp that ends with a special show to show family and friends all the special discoveries made over the week!

Discover Dinos: July 7-11

Travel back in time to discover dinos and other prehistoric animals in this exploration of early Earth! Roar into the magic and science of dinosaurs, fossils and discovery in this fun camp!

Acorn Camps
Grades K-2

Forest Communities: June 16-20

Unleash your imagination at Forest Communities Camp, where every tree tells a story and every forest holds a secret adventure. Make new friends as you explore nature’s magical playground!

Explore the Ocean: July 14-18

Tiptoe through tide pools, build a beach in a bucket, and meet marine mammals in this hands-on exploration of the coast and ocean. Campers will be marine scientists and discover the treasures in our neighborhood bay.

Space Exploration Camp:
June 23-27

3-2-1 liftoff for fun in this space exploration adventure! We’ll learn all about planets, stars, and galaxies as we make new friends and fun space crafts!

Backyard Buddies: July 21-25

Learn all about the animals in your backyard. There’s lots to discover and explore as we learn how to be good caretakers of the world we live in and to appreciate the wonders of nature all around us!
