Sandy Beach Teacher Workshop

Workshop attendees will:

• Receive a 5-unit curriculum aligned with NGSS and Common Core

• Get hands-on training on sandy beach data collection and analysis

• Gain valuable information on the logistics of field science

• Develop experience in using scientific tools and protocols

Students who participate in LiMPETS will:

• Conduct community science and collect data that contributes to a
20+ year database used by scientists for research & policy

• Learn about indicator species, coastal habitats, and human impact

• Connect to and learn about protecting local

ecosystems and communities
