Exploration Station: Marine Mammals

January Theme: Marine Mammals (Happy Birthday Month, Sandy!)

Join us in celebrating our cherished gray whale, Sandy! In honor of her birthday, this month’s exploration stations are dedicated to marine mammals. Guests can engage with interactive displays and models, examine skins and skulls, and discover in-depth information about species like sea otters, sea lions, and gray whales that inhabit our coastal waters.

This station not only emphasizes the importance of marine mammal conservation but also provides hands-on activities that encourage visitors of all ages to learn about these remarkable creatures. By fostering a deeper understanding of marine ecosystems, this month’s Exploration Station aims to inspire a commitment to protecting the vital marine environments surrounding Pacific Grove.
