Junior Conservationist Club

The Junior Conservationist Club (for grades 6-8) meets on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10:00 am. During these excursions, members investigate a unique local ecosystem, animal, or natural feature. The club promotes discovery and enjoyment of the natural world, encourages curiosity and exploration, and prepares participants to be lifelong stewards of and advocates for nature. Club members are also welcome to exclusive members-only events offered in June, July, & August.

This club offers increased opportunities for agency & student-led learning. Our goal is to teach practical applications for what we learn that members can use to act for conservation today, as well as highlight natural science & conservation careers via interaction with local environmental science experts.

This year only, due to a generous gift from the Monterey County Fish and Game Propagation Grant Fund, Jr. Conservationist Club membership is FREE for all participants. Thank you, Monterey County Fish and Game!
