The Monterey Bay Area is home to scores of beautiful animals, from migrating shorebirds and songbirds to the familiar raccoons and deer. Local science illustrator Erin E. Hunter will teach this afternoon workshop in the Museum's bird and mammal collection, covering topics like bird and mammal anatomy, the differences between feathers and fur, and tips for drawing animals in proportion. The class will also touch on subjects like mixing media, how to match color, and natural history sketching.

Registration is $35.00 for the class., and a materials list will be available upon registration. Ages 14 and up; all skill levels welcome. Class will be held at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History at 165 Forest Avenue, Pacific Grove.
