Member Event

From food and medicine to sustainable new ways of living, people across the world use plants every day. On this guided walk at Elkhorn Slough Reserve, we will explore indigenous uses of native California plants and discuss the interwoven nature of restoration and human consumption.

This 2 hour excursion will take participants through oak and grassland habitat on a 1.5 mile, easy- to moderate-rated trail. The first half hour of the walk will be on an ADA accessible paved trail. Picnic tables are available to eat lunch at afterwards.
